The planning for the 2014 Wine about Winter will kick off as soon as all of the Co-Chair positions are filled. Please find position descriptions below.  Each Co-Chair position are intended to not take on too many individual tasks in able to manage their area as needed. Each bullet-pointed  pointed position below the Co-Chair represents a volunteer who is managing that aspect of the team’s tasks. SITE CO-CHAIR - Leads and tracks all site-related projects.  Reports to Champion. Other Committee members working with the Site Co-Chair are managing:

• Rentals - Manages rental company and all rental needs. Reports to Site Co-Chair.
• Entertainment - Manages live music/entertainment and equipment. Reports to Site Co-Chair.

FUNDRAISING CO-CHAIR - Leads and tracks all fundraising-related projects.  Reports to Champion. Other Committee members working with the Fundraising Co-Chair are managing:

• Ticket Administration - Creates and implements ticket sales strategy and keep ticket records.  Reports to Fundraising Co-Chair.
• Raffle/Wine Wall - Pulls together a raffle of Hillsdale items and a wine wall. Reports to Fundraising Co-Chair

VOLUNTEER CO-CHAIR - Leads and tracks all volunteer-related projects.  Reports to Champion.

• Volunteers - Manages volunteer recruitment, training, day-of management and recognition. Reports to Volunteer Co-Chair.

But wait…that’s not all!  This year’s Cinco de Mayo will be a party throughout Hillsdale!  On May 5^th, between 3,000 and 5,000 people are expected to enjoy the opening of the Hillsdale Farmers’ Market summer season, piñatas and music at the Food Carts during the Grand Opening of Taco City, our newest food cart, amazing art and fun at the Reike Art Fair, and our very own bouncy houses and family-friendly events at Springfest. It will be a party not to miss!

What’s it all about?

Over 35 local health & wellness practitioners will come together in Hillsdale in SW Portland to raise health awareness and promote equal access to health care in our community. On the same day as the annual opening of the Hillsdale Farmers’ Market and the Rieke Art Fair, between 3,000 and 5,000 people are expected at the free health & wellness fair throughout the day. Local practitioners engage community members in physical activities and provide invaluable information and on-site screenings, children have fun in the inflatable bouncy house, and everyone enjoy’s the live music!

Bring on the fun! Along with your team, make sure children are removing their shows before entering and that the bouncy house doesn’t exceed capacity. Either choose to remain on your feet, or a chair can be provided upon request.

• Event Recycling and Composting. Free technical assistance from the City of Portland Office of Sustainability and Planning that can help event planners and coordinators divert waste from the landfill with increased recycling and food composting.
• Sustainability At Work. Free tools and expertise to help green your business from the Portland Bureau of Planning and Sustainability.
• Master Recyler Program. Master Recyclers take an eight-week course on the latest information on thoughtful consumption and recycling. They then share this information to their neighbors in Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington county. There are more then 1,150 Master Recyclers, volunteering more than 32,000 hours.

This event drew over 3,200 attendees last year providing participating business owners with valuable opportunities to interact face-to-face with potential new customers, clients and patients from the local community.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, May 5, 2013 from 10am – 2pm.

Individual booth participants will need to be set-up by 9:30am.

This is also opening day of the summer season for Hillsdale Farmer’s Market.  Our event is held in close physical proximity allowing for convenient access for the crowds already in the area that day.

We have a very limited number of booth spaces (approximately 25).

Participants are responsible for securing everything they want to have at their booth to include:

• “Tailgate” style tent (usually 10’ x 10’ and can be found at stores like Dick’s Sporting Goods, Bi-Mart, etc)
• Portable tables and folding chairs (can be found at stores like Costco)
• Promotional materials
• Sunblock and water for your team
