Come and celebrate all that is Spring in Hillsdale on Sunday, May 1!
On Sunday May 1st, all of Hillsdale will blossom at the all-day celebration of Springfest. In conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the Hillsdale Farmers Market, and Rieke Elementary’s annual Art Fair, Hillsdale Main Street’s Springfest will include in-store activities, pedicab rides throughout the district, a plaza ribbon cutting, a composting demonstration, a plant sale and a beer/wine garden featuring live local music and food vendors.
The day begins with free beignets at Three Square Grill at 9:00am and free coffee tasting at Starbucks at 9:30am. The market and art fair open at 10 am, including Toyota’s “Farm to Table Tour” demonstration of local chefs inside the farmers market. Throughout the day, participants will enjoy in-store activities such as face painting, cookie decorating, wine and spirit tasting, a BBQ and much, much more! The plaza ribbon cutting ceremony is at 1pm, followed by an afternoon of beer, wine and great music from 1:30-6:00pm. The first 100 to visit the music tent at 1:30pm will also receive a free bedding plant!
Afternoon music performances at the wine and beer garden include: Jon Koonce & One More Mile (Americana/Roots/Rock & Roll) and Joshua English (Indie/Folk) from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m; Grupo Condor (Latin American Folk Music) starting at 5 p.m.

2011 EVENT UPDATE: The first Hillsdale Springfest was a complete success! The Farmers Market counted over 5,000 people in attendance. The weather was phenomenal! All stores reported they had great food traffic and the beer and wine garden was packed. Thank you to all of our 67 day-of volunteers and thank you to all who came out!
