Committees
Hillsdale Main Street has 5 standing committees:
One of Hillsdale Main Street’s top goals is to foster a sustainability-focused community, using both the “green” definition of sustainability, as well as “longevity”.
The Design Committee’s purpose is to improve the physical image of the Hillsdale Business district, including working on streetscape and public spaces, building improvements, design education and enforcement.
Economic Restructuring Committee
The Economic Restructuring Committee’s purpose is business development – assisting current businesses thrive and grow, as well as recruit new businesses that are fill district needs.
The Organization Committee’s purpose is to ensure Hillsdale Main Street has the resources it needs, including volunteer development, communications and public relations, and fundraising.
The Promotion Committee’s purpose is to promote the Hillsdale business district, as well as the businesses within. They do this through creating a marketing strategy, image development, creating retail promotions, and hosting special events.
